CCIP Certificate and CCIE Prep

Finally I’ve got my CCIP certificate after four long years of apprenticeship and actual work experiences on each subject matter. ie. BGP, MPLS, BSCI (OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP) QOS and some switching.

Starting August 1, 2007,  I will be officially starting my CCIE Routing and Switching Qualification Exam (Exam 350-001). The schedule is on November 29, 2007, Thursday at 10:30 am. I like to say in advance, apology to my family, for I will definitely be taking off some quality time off from them. I will be studying on an allocated 1-2 hours per day.

 I am taking advantage on my Cisco PEC access on free online *real* routing and switching laboratory and lecture. I am also using CBT nuggets CCIE RS prep materials by Jeremy Ciora (I like his style of teaching). And some couple of books and materials downloaded from Emule. My target laboratory exam schedule is on June 2, 2008, Monday 8am – 5pm.

I am hopefull that my company will be shouldering all the expense for my qualifying written and laboratory exam, this will cost around US$1550. I can hardly afford this amount at this time (unless my stocks at H-shares will grow high, hehehe).

My mentor is Sundar Palaniappan, a CCIE from Verizon Business USA, Fong Wai Chuek from HK ROC Verizon Business and Mr. Raul Eugenio of Bayantel.com.
